Any person working in a mental health or allied field, or pursuing graduate training in a mental health (or allied) field, may register to attend MAJS educational events. New seminar participant applications are generally accepted annually before the beginning of the academic year each September.
Prior to acceptance we ask that you contact the MAJS Admissions Coordinator, Dr. Jacquie Wright, to discuss your application, and if possible, arrange to visit during one of the seminar weekends (excluding the September and May retreats). During that time you will have an opportunity to experience how the program works, meet and talk with current participants, and talk with several of the analyst faculty about your interest in the Seminar. Click on the link in the Downloads section below for the weekend registration form.
Participants registering to attend a seminar to evaluate their possible participation in the MAJS program will be asked to pay a fee of $25 per hour attended, which is commensurate with the fee required of regular attendees of the seminar.
The tuition for participating in the Memphis-Atlanta Jungian Seminar is currently $2900 per academic training year. Various payment arrangements may be discussed with the MAJS Treasurer - Bert Price. The tuition fees cover all activities of the Seminar, excluding room / board for retreat weekends, or supervision other than the regularly scheduled seminar case colloquia.
Acceptance into the Memphis-Atlanta Jungian Seminar does not constitute acceptance into training with the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts. That application is a separate process initiated after having participated in the Memphis-Atlanta Seminar for at least six months. The specific requirements and official training manual for those wishing to apply for formal training as a Jungian Analyst may be seen by visiting www.irsja.org
Because an understanding of your own psychology is essential to the practice of any depth psychology, all participants in the Memphis-Atlanta Jung Seminar are expected to be in a personal analysis or therapy.
